Will this project be physical or digital?
This project will be both digital and physical. We will offer a digital and physical version of the zine, alongside digital and physical merch. Please note, this decision may change depending on the results of the Interest Check.
At present, the zine is expected to be an A5 portrait, perfect-bound book. The digital zine will be available as PDF and sent to you via email.What merch items will there be?
TBA - pending the conclusion of the IC and Contributor Applications. If you are interested in becoming a merch artist for the zine and have a specific idea for merch, then please feel free to contact us and apply!Can comic artists apply?
Yes! Please apply!Will traditional art be allowed?
We accept any style and art as long as it is in line with the zine theme. Please note, you are required to provide a high quality scan (600 DPI) if you wish to submit any traditional artworks.Will AUs be allowed?
Generally, no. As this is a zine dedicated to the Disciple Era of the Peak Lords featured in the novel, your ideas should be grounded in the source material. Artistic interpretations are okay. (As in: as long as the canon story would still make sense/happen after the AU, then it is okay - if you can explain it away via one of Airplane’s plot holes or flowers, then it’s okay!)Will character shipping be allowed?
Yes. Within the bounds of what can reasonably be explained as canon/as long as it doesn’t change the canon story after they become Peak Lords.Can I apply to multiple positions?
Yes, but you will only be chosen for one role. If a contributor drops out during the creation period and another spot for art/writing/merch opens up, then we will contact contributors and those who applied as pinch hitters to fill the position. Please note that this is not a guaranteed position/happenstance. The creation period may also be shorter for pinch hitters. Pinch hitters will receive the same compensation as all other contributors. (For more information on the compensation, please check the information given in ‘Compensation’ above.)Do I need prior experience participating in a zine or creating products to apply?
No, we will solely be judging you on your skills and ideas based on the portfolio you submitted.Do I have to have read the entire novel to join?
No, but please be aware that there may be spoilers involved in the discussions within the server. The zine is also based on information from the ending of the novel and the novel extras. We do, however, recommend reading the series before joining the zine.Can I draw unnamed Peak Lords/OCs?
You can feature unnamed Peak Lords as side characters or NPC’s, but your artwork/writing/merch should feature a named Peak Lord from the novel during their disciple years. Regarding Comic/Writing: some Peak Lords do not have canon names or pre-head/succeeding disciple naming (e.g. Shen Jiu became Shen Qingqiu) - these minor details are open for you to fill in.The list of “named” Peak Lords who will feature as main characters in this zine is as follows:Qióng Dǐng Fēng 穹顶峰 - Yuè Qīngyuán - Yue Qi

Our goal is to give every contributor a full physical & digital bundle of the zine including merch. This may change depending on whether the zine breaks even during pre-order. Should finances not suffice for a full bundle, the contributors will still (if possible) receive the printed zine, and be able to add merch products to their package at production cost. The Digital Bundle will also be provided.How many contributors will be accepted?
